Three new monitors from Samsung were shown off in the run-up to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2019) that’s currently underway in Las Vegas, Nevada.

They included one for gaming, one for content creation, and one that fits snugly against a wall for smooth ergonomics and easy use.

Ergonomically pleasing

The most unique of these is Samsung’s “Space Monitor” (model number S75), a screen designed to complement whatever space it’s set up in by hugging a wall closely and a minimalist design, but also with a clever hinge design that also lets it tilt left and right and up and down to suit the viewer.

Charl Van Den Berg, Samsung Product Manager at Tarsus Distribution, says the Space Monitor S75 will be available from Tarsus Distribution in April 2019.

One for Gaming at CES 2019

Gamers can look forward to the arrival of Samsung’s huge “super ultrawide” QLED 49-inch gaming monitor, the CRG9, which offers a whopping resolution of 5120 x 1440 (also called “5K”) and a view that stretches across the viewer’s vision.

In other words, the CRG9 is effectively the same size and resolution as setting up two 27-inch 1440p screens side by side would offer.

The CRG9 has all of the gaming features a discerning gamer could want, too, from a 120Hz refresh rate to support for HDR10 to AMD’s FreeSync 2 adaptive sync technology, tech that matches games’ frame rates to the screen’s refresh rate for super-smooth gaming.

It also boasts Samsung’s excellent Quantum Dot technology that reproduces amazing colours and makes whatever the monitor displays look incredible. It’s a gamer’s dream, in other words.

Content Creation

Last but not least from Samsung at CES 2019 is a screen designed for people who make things: the 32-inch UR59C, a monitor Samsung says is “the world’s first 32-inch curved 4K display designed for content creators”.

It boasts a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (“4K”), a very fast 4ms response time, support for “up to a billion colours”, and a 1500R curvature. That curve is the reason Samsung says the UR59C is easy on the eyes, making it good for people who spend a lot of time staring at a screen as it reduces eye-strain.

It also features three edges that don’t have a bezel, which help to make the screen aesthetically pleasing as well.  This is one gorgeous monitor; check it out:

So far only one of these monitors will definitely be available from Tarsus Distribution (the Space Monitor) come April, but keep an eye on the blog – we’ll let you know if/when the others shown at CES 2019 will be coming.
