Dell’s latest Inspiron 2-in-1 is a gorgeous 13.3-incher that users can literally bend to their will, thanks to its 360-degree hinge that allows it to fold into four positions that can suit just about any use-case situation.

Dell has also built in plenty of consumer-friendly capabilities that make watching Netflix/ShowMax/your preferred streaming service here all the more enjoyable, while also ensuring it works very well as a general-use portable PC thanks to outstanding internals.

Dell Cinema

A gorgeous Full HD IPS touchscreen that delivers exceptional clarity and colour depth is at the heart of the device’s phenomenal media playback capablities, complemented by incredible cinema-quality audio that’s delivered by the award-winning Waves MaxxAudio Pro sound subsystem.

Dell calls the experience on offer “Dell Cinema”, and the audio subsystem “CinemaSound”. Because of this entertainment-heavy focus, the Inspiron 13 7373 delivers not only sharp visuals and excellent volume, but strong bass and clear mids and highs, too – something movie and series lovers will definitely appreciate.

And because it’s difficult to separate movie- and series-watching from online streaming services in 2018, Dell has a new feature called “CinemaStream” that ensures maximum bandwidth is made available to internet-based audio and video applications. That means the elimination of buffering and stuttering on all but the slowest of connections.

Hot Hardware

The Inspiron 13 7373 enjoys the latest processors (up to 8th-gen Core i7 chips), supports up to 16GB of RAM, and uses a choice of SATA and NVMe SSDs for all data processing, ensuring incredible operating system responsiveness and super-fast multi-tasking.

And for those interested in using their faces to unlock Windows 10, its built-in infrared camera supports Windows Hello. This provides cutting-edge authentication that can’t be easily fooled, and is a super fast and easy way to unlock the PC.

Dell also went with an incredibly slim bezel that lets the screen really stand out, without thick edges distracting the viewer, and of course there are USB Type-C ports for lightning-fast charging and a DisplayPort connection for hooking it up to external displays.

But the star of the show is undoubtedly the fact that the device is entirely foldable, able to bend a full 360 degrees in a matter of seconds. It converts from a notebook computer into a handy tablet that can take full advantage of Windows 10’s tablet-friendly features, like Windows Ink, which lets people use a stylus to create notes, annotations, and drawings in many of their favourite programs.

That flexible hinge is also the reason the Inspiron 13 7373 can be positioned for easy viewing when watching videos, when presenting, and for general use. All those choices offer people plenty of positions for easy and convenient use of the device, everywhere from planes to restaurants to desks.

And of course, it’s no slouch in the battery department: Dell Labs benchmarked an Inspiron 13 configured with a Core i5-8250U Processor, an Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU, 8GB of DDR4 memory, a 256GB SSD, a Full HD touch display, a 3-cell 38 WHr battery and Windows 10 Home using Mobile Mark, and it lasted 8 hours and 20 minutes before shutting down. That’s more than the average work day.

So while the unit doesn’t ship with Windows 10 Pro, it’s still useful in an office environment if domain access isn’t required.

Plus, it charges fast thanks to the inclusion of a “Quick Charge Battery”, so you won’t be waiting around for it to return to a usable state once the battery runs down and it’s plugged into power.
