It’s the last episode of the current season of The Azure Files, and yes, that means THERE WILL BE A SEASON TWO! After the guys are done with their t-shirt banter, the episode answers a question around how much coding is required to deploy anything into the cloud, something that concerns Craig from Stellenbosch as he’s not very familiar with code.
In answer, Othelo takes great pride in demonstrating just how quick and easy it is to deploy and publish something into Azure.
Matt and Othelo also take some time to delve into the origins of the term “code monkey”, starting with a mention of Jonathan Coulton. Coulton is a musician who sings about geek culture, and is best known for his songs “Code Monkey” and “Still Alive“, the latter of which was the closing credits song to the smash-hit videogame, Portal, the former all about being a lowly programmer.
There’s also a bit about giving away two tickets to Comic Con, which you can put yourself in the running for by doing something with Azure. Watch the vid to find out exactly what that is.
