The 5th annual “Gear of the Year” survey is currently underway on local tech blog, htxt.africa. This year, in addition to consumer-focused questions, the survey includes an SMME section that’s intended to gain insight into the brand preferences of the local small, medium, and micro enterprise market, as well as into their primary concerns for 2018.
While consumer surveys usually get more love from the voting public, the SMME survey presents small business owners and staff with a unique opportunity to share their views on the best brands, either the ones they would love to be using or the ones they’ve purchased themselves during the year.
The survey runs from now until 23h59 on the 31st of December 8th of January, 2018. For participating, you stand a chance to win a 2-in-1 notebook from Dell worth R30 000. Once the votes have been tallied and the winner chosen, the results will be announced on htxt.africa in early 2018.
An awards breakfast will take place in late January/early February (the final date is yet to be established) at Tarsus headquarters in Buccleuch, Johannesburg, where the prize and category awards will be handed out.
The Gear of the Year 2017 survey is being sponsored by the Tarsus Technology Group, Dell South Africa, and Microsoft South Africa.
