Despite the proliferation of screens and the promise of a “paperless office”, people still like to print, scan and copy documents and photos. Finding a printer that does all three that’s compact and affordable for small-scale use, however, can be a challenge.
HP has something in the pipeline that could solve that problem: the DeskJet 3700 series of “All-in-One” inkjet printers. They come with WiFi connectivity and can copy, print and scan documents and photos up to A4 in size, and the printers themselves are sturdy yet small and light and thus don’t take up much space.
As HP says, “Compact and wireless, this affordable printer is designed to fit your space and life”.
HP’s All-in-One Remote Printing app lets people manage their print queues as well, and it’s not even necessary to be on the same network to print – as long as your device and the printer are connected to the internet, the app can queue up jobs remotely.
And because it’s 2017, the range has been designed to work with tablets, smartphones and computers from all of the biggest operating systems (Windows, OSX, iOS, Android). They’re also available in several bright colours – no more boring beige or black printers cluttering up your desk.
DeskJet 3700 All-in-One series printers are not yet available in South Africa, but they will be soon – HP South Africa is launching them in the week of March 14th, and they’ll also be available via retail at the same time.
Expect to pay R1399 for these printers when they become available later this month.
