You might not think Microsoft needs another messaging app, but that hasn’t stopped the software giant from rolling one out.
It’s called Kaizala, and it’s a secure mobile messaging app that marries many of the benefits of popular IM clients with enterprise-focused functionality.
The usual chat features of text-based chats, image, video, and audio sharing are here, but there’s much more beneath the surface.
Does more
At first glance, it’s easy to think that Kaizala looks like WhatsApp and Telegram had a baby. But digging deeper, it’s clear that this is not your father’s chat app: Kaizala does a lot more than either WhatsApp or Telegram, and even plays nicely with Microsoft’s popular Office software.
The chief differentiator is the expanded functionality of “groups”. As with those other applications, people can create their own groups, but the number of people they can have in each is huge: Kaizala supports thousands of people per group.
Group admins can also drop in surveys, checklists, and questionnaires, see who has and hasn’t responded to each, and have the results collated automatically and presented for easy viewing. Results can also be exported to Excel for easier examination.
Helps with collaboration
Those things are all super handy when collaborating on projects, where access to speedy answers and group consensus can circumvent the need for lengthy meetings.
Kaizala also supports Active Directory, and is 100% compliant with regulations like POPI and GDPR.
This robust chat app is available in two versions: Free and Premium.
Free includes:
- 1:1 and hierarchical group chat
- Media and document sharing
- Built-in Actions for polls, surveys, and announcements
- Work management
- Offline and 2G support
Premium includes all of the above, plus:
- Organisation group management
- User management (remove users from groups and wipe group data from device)
- Create public groups
- Publish custom Actions
- Advanced reporting and analytics
- System integration and automation using Kaizala APIs
