Printers today offer a great deal of choice to the end user. They encompass a wide range of technologies, performance levels, paper sizes, and bolted-on extras, and choosing the right one can be a bit tough.

OKI’s exceptional quality commitment is on show here in every part of this printer. It’s incredibly well-built, for starters, but more importantly its prints are razor-sharp thanks to its maximum print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi.

You won’t spend a lot of time waiting for it, either, as the B432dn warms up really fast – the time to the first print emerging is a  crazy low 4.5 seconds – and can produce up to 40 A4 pages per minute. Those are features every printer user can benefit from, but it’s especially pleasing for demanding users with heavy workloads.

It holds a generous number of pages, too: it ships with a 250 sheet paper tray, with a 530-sheet second tray option. Paper handling options are likewise impressive, with the option to print on anything from A4 to A6, banners up to 1.3m long, and card stock up to 163gsm.

OKI is also aware that people like their printers not to run out of toner every five minutes, which is why you get to choose toner sizes that suit your particular usage patterns. The printer supports toners that produce 3000, 7000 or 12000 prints each – you just need to specify which you want.

Add in Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and the option to add a wireless module, and you have a truly versatile printer that has covered the majority of options a heavy business user would expect from their printer.

More consumer-friendly features haven’t been left out, as the B432dn can also be used with Google Cloud Print and Apple Air Print, plus duplex printing, an eco mode option and even a quiet printing mode are all standard.

This is a brilliant mono laser printer with exactly the right mix of features to make it stand out from the crowd, and appeal to business users looking for a rock-solid workhorse of a printer that eschews fanciness and colour for reliability and exceptional quality.
