Since it was announced at the Microsoft Inspire conference earlier this year, we’ve been looking at Microsoft 365 and how it can easily optimise productivity for businesses.

What is it?

Microsoft 365 brings together Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security, basically delivering a complete, intelligent and secure solution to empower employees.

How does it work?

It’s perhaps best explained in a practical example. In this recording from Inspire, we follow how Fourth Coffee Company uses Microsoft 365 to unleash creativity, communicate and be more productive.

Unleashing creativity

In a nutshell, a branch of Fourth Coffee Company started doodling on their paper coffee cups instead of just writing the customer’s name. They posted pictures of the doodled cups on Yammer, which in turn started a little competition across all of Fourth’s branches.

With the updated Office.com portal and its new intelligence features, they started to track the competition using Power BI to see if the doodling was actually starting to generate more customers coming through its doors. As it turns out, it was! Their marketing team came up with a campaign around this.

Increasing productivity

They decided to redesign the coffee cup, so they did a quick mockup using  Microsoft’s Paint 3D and with the figures they got from the portal and the mockup, they were able to quickly put a presentation together using PowerPoint Designer. They then published the presentation using OneDrive, giving access to all the stakeholders wherever they were via the Files On-Demand features.

This is merely a snippet of some of the features in Microsoft 365 and Windows 10, and even though I have not touched on the security aspects, I’m impressed.
