South African tech site MyBroadband has published an article about Samsung’s 860-series SSDs, and how good their performance is.
According to the site, the two latest additions to Samsung’s consumer SSD lineup are the 860 EVO and the 860 Pro, and they both sport some pretty impressive performance numbers.
They’re so good, they’re even faster than the previous-generation 850 drives. “According to early benchmark and pricing data, the new 860-series drives have improved on the previous generation” says MyBB.
Samsung has opted for capacities of 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB for these drives; MyBB has pricing for all but the 4TB versions, which have not been announced for South Africa yet.
These drives start at a recommended retail price of R1,469 for the EVO 250GB, and R2,137 for the Pro 250GB.
