Modern workplaces are full of multi-monitor setups, where employees make use of two or more screens to maximise their productivity. They’re handy because they let people easily switch between their many applications, speeding up their work rate.
Multiple screens are certainly a handy way to get more done, faster, but they’re… well not the most aesthetically pleasing things to look at.
Samsung’s CJ89 PC display, which the company refers to as “The Ultimate Screen for Multitasking”, aims to change that.
In a nutshell, it’s a beautiful, curved, 49-inch behemoth of a screen that offers the same screen real estate as two 27-inch monitors arranged side-by-side. The most important differentiator is that the CJ89 is really just one contiguous pane of glass, meaning the user’s view is not interrupted by bezels as it is when using multiple separate screens.
In Stock
The news here is that Tarsus Distribution now stocks this beast of a screen, so if you or your customers are after the “Ultimate Screen for Multitasking”, you know where to come.
Samsung produces two models of the CJ89, this 49-incher and a 43-inch version. The bigger screen is already available in South Africa, and an article on MyBroadband says the smaller one will be available “…at the end of September 2018”.
Samsung didn’t just go for big, however, and also packed in some really juicy screen technology to sweeten the pot further: the CJ89 has a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3840 x 1080. That’s fantastic for viewing spreadsheets side by side, fast switching between applications, and of course the odd game.
Other extras that might appeal to power users include a USB hub with USB Type C ports, a built-in KVM switch, and stereo speakers.
