Samsung’s high-end QLED 4K televisions are now available to order via Tarsus Distribution.
The biggest selling point of these TVs is that they feature many of the latest TV technology innovations, including Samsung’s own “Quantum Dot” technology that produces brilliant colours, High Dynamic Range (HDR) tech that produces lifelike lighting and high levels of detail in on-screen images, and of course incredible contrast that makes blacks as deep and rich as possible while maintaining the brightness of other areas.
One completely new technology packed into these TVs is something Samsung calls Ultra Black. This somehow ensures the viewing experience is not marred by everyday objects and light sources reflecting back at the viewer when scenes are dark.
Another viewer-centric feature is the excellent viewing angles on offer, no matter where the viewer is sitting. This, in conjunction with the excellent colour reproduction and HDR for lifelike contrast means the picture is always at its best.
All models sport a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K) and support the latest HDMI standard. They can thus be hooked up to Blu-ray players, media players, games consoles, gaming PCs. They’ll look their best if those sources support 4K and HDR, of course.
Here’s Samsung’s official video that explains just how HDR technology works, and why it’s important:
