Tarsus on Demand extended its market leadership in the cloud space recently by beating out tough competition and ultimately walking away with the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) of the Year award at Microsoft’s Partner Awards event held in Johannesburg this month.
The CSP category has over the past few years been one of the most hotly-contested over the past few years as the partners continue to tool-up and the land grab continues to surge on in the cloud arena.
Key elements contributing to Tarsus on Demand‘s win at the awards include:
- A 158% increase in CSP revenue over the past year;
- A 164% increase in Office 365 licensing revenue over the past year;
- A 72% increase in the number of CSP transacting partners over the past year; and
- The architecting of numerous bundles that bring together Microsoft offerings with third party offerings in a combined cloud solution.
“A strong endorsement of our commitment to Microsoft when it comes to all things cloud is the fact that the brand represented 40% of our total cloud revenue over the past financial year,” says Kathryn Tindale, Director of Sales at Tarsus on Demand.
“Adding to that, we’ve seen such encouraging growth and ongoing potential in our partnership with Microsoft that we predict the brand will represent 63% of our total cloud-based revenues over the coming financial year,” she says.
“We remain strongly committed to Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem and believe our channel partners and their customers are seeing great value from the skills, resources and innovative solutions we’ve built over the past years, bringing new levels of affordable scale to the local IT market.” she adds.
Tindale says Tarsus on Demand‘s investment in its own cloud provisioning and management tool (CloudBlue) and continual commitment to growing the breadth of complimentary solutions in its portfolio have served the company well and she believes will continue to reap valuable rewards over the coming years.
Kudos from Microsoft
Managing Director of Microsoft South Africa Zoaib Hoosen, said at the event “Congratulations go to Tarsus on Demand on winning Top CSP Provider of the Year. Tarsus on Demand extended their market leader position with over 2400 new cloud customers and 68 new customers on Azure in fiscal 18.”
The Azure Files, a key differentiator in Tarsus on Demand‘s go-to-market strategy, also got a mention: “Their innovative #AzureFiles webcast series talks to their value-add solutions on Azure, which helps resellers quickly articulate cloud value propositions to end customers,” Hoosen added.
A big thank you
Not wanting to claim full responsibility for the win, Tindale says the awesome numbers Tarsus on Demand was able to report to Microsoft in its awards entry are a representation of what we’ve managed to do with it channel of committed partners.
“This is really and truly a team effort,” she says, “and we’d like to thank our partners for the valuable role they played in our award win.”
Last night, we were awarded the Cloud Solution Provider of the year at the 2018 Microsoft Partner Awards – South Africa. In addition, we were finalists in both the New Innovation for cloud and Best go-to-market cloud categories.
Our wins and recognitions are not ours alone as they would not have been possible without the support of our partners.
We would like to thank you for partnering with us and allowing us to enable your business, in the cloud.
This award is ours.
Thank you,
Tarsus On Demand Team
