It’s once again Mandela Month, in which the enduring influence of Nelson Mandela’s legacy is honoured by South Africans giving of themselves to their fellow countrymen.
At Tarsus Technology Group, staff have the opportunity to choose between three charities and either donate a hamper to one, or donate individual items to all three.
The options are:
- Door of Hope, a centre that saves and cares for abandoned babies.
- SPCA Randburg, where animals that can’t help themselves are looked after.
- Itlhokomeleng Association for Aged and Disabled, a home that cares for over 90 elders and disabled people of any age.
The aim is to collect as many hampers as possible, the value of which is pegged at around R150 each, and to then take them to each of the charities at the end of July. July 18, Mandela Day proper, will see TTG volunteers packing the goods into hampers and readying them for delivery.
The drop-off zone is at base of the main staircase at Tarsus Technology Group head office.
