Tarsus Distribution now stocks new solid-state hard drives from Seagate, in capacities of 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
These new 2.5-inch drives are the latest addition to Seagate’s Barracuda range of storage devices, and are ideal for upgrading desktop and notebook systems from slower mechanical drives. Doing so delivers a welcome speed boost to the one subsystem that usually trips up system performance: storage.
Each drive is backed by a 5-year limited warranty, and is capable of read and write speeds of up to 540/520MB/s respectively. That’s more than fast enough to make Windows or MacOS X boot faster than they ever did on mechanical drives.
Seagate went with an all-black design, too, so they’ll look fantastic nestled amongst other drives in a desktop system. You won’t see them much in a notebook, but it’ll be enough knowing they’re in there, looking all cool.
To make full use of these drives, the systems they’re in must meet the following requirements:
- Intel processor
- Windows 7, 8, or 10/ MacOS X / Linux
- A free SATA 3Gb/s or 6Gb/s port
Seagate has over 20 years of experience in the storage game, and knows a thing or two about making trusted, reliable, high-performance hardware, making these a seriously enticing value proposition.
